A brief history of the project:

I've been a musical child prior to this. The moment I realized playing in low octaves conjures dark atmospheres, I've started my first authorial musical project under the name of Cold Void, which was already taken. Eventually, Risen Cold Void has been shortened to Risen v0id, with the usage od 0 - the most powerful of numbers.

The purpose of the project was to explore some of the most important aspects I could perceive and represent them sonically. Systematic naming has been inspired by Darkspace. I chose 'v0id##.theme', always a single noun.

Over the course of the first year, the project was my one and only musical output. First three albums have been released on Last.fm and MySpace. In June 2011, the project has been put on hold after the release of a compilation of unfinished material (v4), when I thought my musical journey is over.

The project has been restored shortly after, along with foundations of many new projects like Mealann, Cold Womb Descent and Anfea Eutua. Next two albums followed on June 1st, 2012, with a double release. The project has since become a sandbox for promising, experimental track ideas, which couldn't fit anywhere else. In 2014, a seventh album has been shaped around 10 ideas like that. They heavily represent the style of compositions peculiar to Dreams of Laura / Eintritt era of my musical aesthetics.

In 2015, I have remastered and re-released Voids v1, v2, v3, v5 and v6 with new cover arts. During the great 2016 finalization session, 10 more ideas have been compiled into Voids v8, the last full-length album. Voids v9 may be considered as a sampler containing a summary and a short guide to all the projects and inspirations which can be found across them.

Voids v4 has been initially released in June 2011. It was the only album, which has been literally forced into existence. Back in the days I've been occupied with comedy and desperately wanted to end the burden of my musical journey. I've compiled some finished and unfinished tracks, but they were too few to make another 10-track album, so... Five years later, I've reworked all that crap into something reminiscent of my 2011's musical output.

The final remixing session took place in May 2018 when many old tracks, especially from Voids v2, v3 and v5 have been remixed or even rewritten into my usual soundbanks.

As expected in the beginning, the project has reached the amount of 100 tracks, therefore running out of possible numeration. This box set is its final shape. This is where I've started, this is from which I've branched out into numerous projects, this is where I come back to with Dystert Sind. A complete evolution.
